What does this norm imply specifically and why is it so important for Brawo Spa?

What is norm ISO 50001?

ISO 50001 is an international standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and it establishes the guidelines to develop an efficient Energy Management System.

The main goal is to define the necessary procedures to improve the energetic efficiency of the company, aiming to reduce consumptions, and to improve the general energetic performance.

Basically, an Energy Management System compliant to ISO 50001 requires the companies:

• To establish energetic policies promoting the efficient use of energy;
• To fix goals and objectives for the constant improvement of the energetic performance;
• To measure and monitor the consumptions to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas;
• To analyze energetic data and use this information to take thoughtful decisions;
• To verify and re-examine the management system to grant constant improvement.
