Hot forging is one of Brawo's historic and distinctive skills: a process that, over time, has allowed us to develop unique expertise and a quality standard among the highest in the industry. Compared to other manufacturing processes, this technology offers greater reliability, eliminates typical defects - such as porosity - and allows components to have superior mechanical characteristics, improved surfaces, and repeatability that guarantees efficiency and waste reduction.
Brawo's machine park includes over 40 systems, with automatic presses, traditional presses, high-productivity hatebur presses, and hydraulic presses. This allows for the production of products weighing from 0.01 kg to over 20 kg, with both simple and complex geometries.
Forging temperature is one of the key parameters to ensure the quality of the forged product. All systems are served by gas-fired, air-circulated, or induction heating furnaces, equipped with billet temperature monitoring using two-color optical pyrometers, connected to supervisory systems. This system ensures the forging of blanks within the specified temperature range. Special attention is also paid to lubrication, which is now fully integrated into the dies.
At Brawo, hot forging is an advanced industrial process, developed in close collaboration with the customer. This approach integrates technical expertise, advanced technologies, and process optimization to improve component performance and production efficiency. We work with our partners to refine products and processing cycles, reducing complexity and costs, and offering competitive and reliable solutions. This is how a proven technology becomes a tangible asset to meet the needs of current and future markets.
