A Group shaping the future of industry

Since 1860, the story of Brawo S.p.A. has reflected the ability to evolve alongside industry, transforming tradition into a modern, global production model. Today, we are a Group capable of connecting research, advanced processes and an engineering culture focused on precision and reliability.

Our strength lies in the integration of people, technologies and know-how: a structured organization able to manage the entire production cycle, grow in international markets and develop solutions tailored to complex industries.

We combine vision and technical expertise to be more than a supplier: our goal is to be a reliable partner, capable of turning every project into a concrete business result by offering experience, advanced technologies and a truly integrated supply chain.

Company
Brawo USA

Located in Laurens, South Carolina, Brawo USA is a modern facility combining hot forging and machining processes with lean manufacturing principles and advanced technologies.  The precision machining centers and ISO 9001 certification ensure quality and reliability for medium-to-large production volumes.

Brawo Lofthouse

Based in Burk’s Falls, Ontario, Brawo Lofthouse integrates hot forging, machining of non-ferrous metals and in-house tooling production to deliver comprehensive solutions. Continuous investment in advanced technologies and processes has made the company a benchmark for innovation in North America.

Emmebi S.r.l.

The Italian company Emmebi S.r.l. originated as a specialist in tooling for forging and machining. It has evolved into the production of special solid carbide and brazed tools, continuously developing innovative solutions for transfer machines and presses, ensuring precision and continuity.

Brawo history dates back to many decades ago. We are now the result of years of efforts and strategic choices.

1946 - 1966

Almag S.p.A., a manufacturer of tools, is consolidated. In 1966, internal production of brass bars and profiles began.

1978
1989

BRAWO Brassworking S.p.A. is born, unifying hot forging under Almag S.p.A. The name “Brawo” itself recalls the segments of the words brass and working, referring to the activity that uses brass as its main material.

1997
2003

Brawo acquires Emmebi S.r.l. This allows dies, tools, and clamps to be developed in-house, optimizing production times.

2008
2011

Umberto Gnutti Holding (HUG S.p.A.) is established. It includes the three Brawo production sites (Italy, USA, Canada), Almag, Emmebi, and other companies with smaller percentage of stakeholding.

2015
2024

After publishing its first Sustainability Report in 2023 (referring to 2022), Brawo continues its commitment to the environment: the first Carbon Footprint study is conducted and ISO 50001 certification is obtained.

Focus on raw materials

Specialized in the processing of brass, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals, our value is built on a key differentiator: a vertically integrated supply chain that allows us to control every phase of production — from raw material to finished component — ensuring what truly matters: consistent quality, certified materials and complete reliability.

Our close collaboration with Almag S.p.A. enables us to manufacture components using carefully selected raw materials that comply with the most rigid international standards. This approach allows us to meet the demands of markets where safety, compliance and sustainability are non-negotiable.

The aluminum used in our processes is sourced from selected international suppliers certified to rigorous standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. This guarantees reliable components, ensuring precision, strength and full technical compliance in the most demanding applications.

Company

A guiding vision, an evolving identity

For decades, Brawo has pursued a clear vision: transforming forging into tangible value for global markets. A family-owned history that began in 1860 continues today through vertical integration, advanced technologies and a production approach that ensures quality, efficiency and continuity.

Our mission is to be the partner that supports customers at every stage — from technical project assistance to final production — delivering innovative, reliable and competitive solutions. At Brawo, expertise, experience and research come together to generate measurable, sustainable, future-oriented results.

We represent an industrial Group capable of anticipating industry transformation, driving the development of solutions that improve the way industries produce, create and grow.

Our vision guides us towards smarter processes, stronger supply chains and trusted relationships that sustain an advanced, competitive and sustainable industrial system. Our goal is to build a long-lasting model that connects people, technology and responsibility.

We deliver innovative, integrated technical and industrial solutions, transforming every project into value for customers worldwide. Our priority is to build reliable growth paths, supported by a vertically integrated structure, certified quality and consistent presence — ensuring support and production continuity.

In a market that demands speed and precision, engineering drives the journey from idea to outcome, guided by a commitment to excellence.

Research & Development

More than a department - this the heart of our industrial evolution. We invest in advanced technologies, state-of-the-art equipment and specialist expertise to refine engineering skills, simulation capabilities and bespoke digital tools.

Working in close synergy with production, we optimize every stage of the process, defining the most effective production cycles for each component, improving the cost–quality ratio and reducing time and complexity.

Customer collaboration begins at co-design stage: we analyze application requirements, materials, geometries and critical aspects, transforming them into practical, manufacturable solutions. This strength is enabled by advanced management systems, proprietary software and equipment often developed in partnership with machine manufacturers.

Company

At Brawo, sustainability means responsibility and awareness.

Our history has taught us that sustainable operations are not only about the present, but about creating value for local communities and future generations.

We developed a model based on transparency, integrity and ethical conduct, applied across all business processes and focused on continuous improvement. Being sustainable means addressing economic, environmental and social challenges with expertise, while maintaining industrial solidity and a concrete commitment to people and the environment. This shared responsibility requires discipline, vision and compliance with our Code of Ethics, adopted across all Group sites.

Brawo Group places continuous improvement, product quality and stakeholder protection at the center of its strategic plan. For over 15 years, the Group has adopted a Code of Ethics and an Organizational Model compliant with Legislative Decree 231/2001, supported by a rigorous approach to data protection and cybersecurity. These tools ensure transparency, accountability and long-term reliable growth.

The Group operates in full compliance with applicable regulations and, in Italy, adopts a UNI EN ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System. This choice results in more efficient processes, emissions control, responsible use of resources and constant attention to the impacts generated by production activities. Our objective is to reduce environmental footprint and promote sustainable practices across the entire supply chain.

Brawo Group promotes economic and social development in the territories where it operates, supporting local associations and organizations through dedicated initiatives. People are the focus of our model: we invest in continuous training, structured growth paths and an evolving corporate welfare system, enhancing skills, wellbeing and professionalism.
